These photos were taken last Saturday on that lazy day I already talked a little about, and we’ve taken photos on this same street too so I don’t really have anything interesting to say about it.  Right now I’m mostly excited to go to Tennessee to see my family.  My sister Ashley and her family are in Atlanta for the night, and bright and early tomorrow morning we’re going to get up and take the four and a half hour drive to my parents’ house outside of Nashville.  I’m excited!  I’m still so caught up in this brand new blog thing that I’m sure I’ll be doing lots of blog posting.  You can expect some sister posts, Tennessee history ramblings, funny countryside photos, food ravings, and Karen Elson/Jack White sightings.  Well, probably not that last one, but I guess I can’t rule it out.

Please don’t become a Modcloth clone. You are far too interesting for their cheap, poorly made vintage knockoffs.

  36. Rhiannon says:

Everybody, thank you so, so much!!!! Your comments seriously brightened my day!

Rosie, aww, well I love your blog! Yes, I did switch over to WordPress–I didn’t ahve any problems with blogger but I just wanted a blog that looked different than my old one. But now that I’m on WordPress I don’t want to go back to Blogger! I thought it would be more complicated, but once I learned the basic dashboard stuff it became a thousand times more efficient than blogger ever was. Stuff just looks better. You should go for it!

Helen, aww, I wish I knew German! I got a D in it in college–I was hopeless but I sort of adore the language. :)

Sarah, thanks, I’m glad you like my messy old hair! Is it seriously cloudy in Sydney right now? Whenever I picture Australia I just see gorgeous skies and amazing clothes.

The Extraordinaire, thanks–I’m so so glad you think that!

Thanks Casey!! Aww, it would be so amazing to see Jack and Karen. Tonight my family was talking up her concert and what a nice, lovely person she was. :)

Jane, aww, I wrote a little about that a few weeks ago. I like Modcloth things but I know what you’re saying and I’m glad you’re honest!

Bea, thank you–my sisters are the greatest. :)

Carmen, are you in Nashville? There should be a Nashville blogger meetup! It seems like there are so many more fashion bloggers in Nashville than Atlanta for some reason.

Jenny, thanks! Well the blogging energy burst went away tonight–I’m so tired! I’ll post tomorrow. I’ve been enjoying the traveling posts you’ve been doing though!

Lexie, ha ha, no! These and the Swedish Hasbeens are pretty much all I wear.

Christine, aww, my makeup skills are really lacking, and I think your request is the first! I pretty much use Bare Minerals and mascara and eyeliner. I wish I could do fancy makeup tricks but I look awful with lots of makeup.

    Ganalot, !!

    Shelby, aww, you’re too nice!

Amy, you should get them! I seriously have never recommended a pair of shoes as much as these . . . I wear them more than any others and they’re *so* comfortable!

    Lisa, thank you!!

  37. Claudia says:

  41. Dori says:

Wow! That is the cutest outfit! But I think it’s one that only you could pull off. I love the way the less-girly shoes kinda balance the whole thing out.

  46. Very cute outfit. Love the hazy feel of the photos, too.

  47. I don’t 100 percent agree, but regardless a very well written post. I’ll link back from my NJ Birthday Party site in the comments, when I get time :) Cheers!

  49. Your website might be showing flaws on my IE 6 internet browser.

  50. We appreciate you the advice! I am going to give it a try.

I have been surfing on the net a lot more than 3 hours nowadays, however I in no way identified any exciting write-up like yours. It is pretty worth sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good articles as you did, the web will probably be a lot more practical than ever just before.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  55. That is seriously great info, many thanks.

  56. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

  57. Rolf Labre says:

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

  58. Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.

  61. Hi there,Thank you for the amazing post, there are a lot of nice insight that I believe lots of guys and gals do not know.

  62. Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

  63. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

  64. Legalsounds says:

A thoughtful opinion and ideas I will use on my website. You’ve obviously spent a lot of time on this. Thank you!

  65. Legalsounds says:

I wanted to thank you for this interesting I definitely loved every little bit of it. I have you bookmarked your site to look at the latest stuff you post.

  66. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
