My favorite thing in Rachel Antonoff’s spring ’11 collection had to be the little white dress–it’s small and sheer-ish and looks like the Edwardian child’s dress of my dreams that I’ve spent way too much time searching for on Ebay.  All those candy-colored saddle shoes were a close second, so I was really excited to be able to get a sneak peak at the lookbook for the collaboration Rachel Antonoff did with Bass. Bass shoes are pretty great as it is, but don’t romantic flourishes and 1930s-ish shapes and flowers make them so much prettier?

The lookbook certainly doesn’t hurt either.  Pies and floral crowns and secret girl-crush of mine Tennessee Thomas, who probably is to blame for my velvet/polka dot obsession.  And she’s wearing that dress!

  4. I’ve been coveting a pair of Bass oxford heels foreverrr now; this photoshoot just confirms that those black and white saddle shoe pumps may have to be my winter shoe splurge!
Tennessee’s such a pretty girl, but it’s the white kitten that’s really selling them to me : )

I have been coveting those floral saddle shoes since I first saw the pictures! But now I’m not sure if I want those, or the penny loafers more… Time to start saving my pennies!

That little white kitten at the bar! I want to curl up with it and a book.

I didn’t know she’s a designer. She was in that Lula film you posted a long time ago (holding the skull?). Little white dresses are pretty timeless.

Oh, yay! I love Rachel Antonoff and I have a pair of Bass sandals that I keep buying because they’re the most comfy things in the world, sturdy and affordable, too. Thanks so much for posting about this; I wonder when the collection drops?

Holy moly! I want all the colours just for myself!
How does Tennessee Thomas always looks so perfect?
No matter what she is wearing she always has this amazing 60′s look about her (even more than the rest of her band)

That white dress is so perfect and I bet it would look great on you! Little white
dresses like that are so hard to thrift. Infact I am starting to think they don’t exist!

i’m desperate for black shoes to wear with tights. i wear my beat up sneakers when i don’t want to wear heels, they just aren’t going to cut it. i already have 3 pairs of shoes on my wish list (mostly boots because i don’t have any, and a pair of the most beautiful oxfords i’ve ever seen) and i think the first pair just made it onto my list.

  19. Elise says:

Wow, I think I love all those shoes, they’re perfect! :)
