This has been a thrift store week for me. I’ve gone every day this week so far and I’m probably going tomorrow, trying to get enough stuff for the next batch of things for the store. Today I went with Jamie and I swear she was a good luck charm because I found some of the best things of the week with her–a ’50s dress, a ’60s dress, a fisherman knit sweater, and a long dress that I’m probably keeping for myself.
Really that’s probably part of the reason I’ve been to the thrift stores so much. I haven’t been doing much new clothes shopping lately so I’ve been hoping I’ll luck out and find everything on my fall wishlist in the thrift stores. Things like capes (that don’t look silly on me), fisherman knit sweaters (preferably in pairs, so I can sell one and keep the other), loafers, sheer-ish long skirts, thick knit cardigans, cropped sweaters, wool shorts . . . . Well I’m probably hoping for too much. But it’s so fun to pretend!

ooo those madewell clog boots! a little better than the no 6 clog boots, but still .. $250! yikes. here’s hoping for some thrifter luck!
I want want want that cape!
Beautiful collages!
LOVE these! Please post these more often. Also, what stores do you recommend for good basic cable knit or wool sweaters? I don’t really go to thrift stores (never have much luck, patience, or convenience in finding them).
Lovely outfits! They look so cosy!
I sold the only two capes I ever bought, at the beginning of our last winter and now I am cape-less!
Today I found a beautiful mustard coloured one , but alas it had dark stains across the shoulder!
I will have to keep trying
I think I decided last night that i’m only going to thrift my clothes from now on…I just can’t bear to part with my money in ‘real stores’
Atlanta had the best thrifting in the whole south, so I can see why you have been every day

I LOVE all these outfits you’ve put together. Great combinations & colours. I really love autumn fashions.
Only thing is i’m not sure I’m brave enough to carry off the socks and shoes look… they’d probably all work with a nice pair of thick tights though – right? x
Love all these…I’ve been trying to look as good as you do in clogs but it’s just not happening. Strange as it may seem, I think it’s my hair that is the problem… I need flowing locks like yours to work the look rather than my standard scraped-back ponytail.
That cape is wonderful!
love all these sets! we’re just getting into spring/summer weather here in australia, now you’re making me want it to be winter again!

Great choices! Quite a 1940s theme running through, I feel. Especially that tea dress with the socks – so sweet.
Capes and long skirts <3
I love how you love long skirts and dresses! I love them too, and even though I’m short and am told that I should technically stick to a shorter hemline to suit my height, I think that’s just a pile of rubbish! However, I do have quite some difficulty in finding jackets that don’t look awkward and silly with a long dress/skirt poking through!

Good luck finding all of your wishlist things in thrift shops! And I love all of these outfits. The last one is my favorite, but I can definitely picture you wearing all of them and looking fantastic!
I love these collages! Everything looks so cosy and warm, you have such a fantastic eye.

Oooh, I love love love the first one. Absolutely perfect! Although if I was wearing it, I’d probably opt for black shoes.
I love the Madewell tea party dress! So cute.
the steven allan cape is my favorite thing ever. i just saw it on lookbook and fell in love.
haaay.
I think I want every single one of these outfits. And I love that No. 6 brand! I have about 5 pairs of their shoes in my wishlist. ah, if only…
The minute I see a sweater with a zip or buttons along the shoulders, it’s mine. I have two at the moment and have owned a handful more over the past few years.
Love the mix of clogs and prints. & your photos from visiting the apple orchard are *so* dreamy. Looks like a truly lovely day.
I am want to buy some fancy apparel for the new season. This kind of thought appears definitely nice, possibly I’ll proceed with buy.
