Last Saturday Drew and I went into Nashville for the day. We actually didn’t stay there too long–it was on the cold side, and we wanted to get back to my family’s house in time for dinner with some aunts and uncles and cousins. But we did get to visit a few places we wanted to go to, including a quick trip downtown to Hatch Show Print, and also to some vintage stores. Lauren told me I needed to check out The Hip Zipper, and even though it was pretty good and a lot more reasonable than Atlanta vintage I didn’t buy anything. Then we went to Venus and Mars, and it was sad because I think it was their last day, and there were some pretty great sales, but I didn’t buy anything there (and no Karen Elson sightings, sadly). One of these days we’ll see Karen Elson or Jack White around town.

Nashville looks so pretty, especially in the autumn. (Or is it technically winter now?)
Love your necklace and bag!
I think it’s still fall but it sure feels like winter.
I love what you are wearing!
You always look like you’re loving life ;]
What a lovely day : ) I miss Nashville.
Oh, you make winter look cosy and fresh. I try and picture these photos when I winter is making me feel cold and bitter
oh, I didn’t know Venus and Mars were shutting down the brick and mortar store! I just read that Amy Patterson had breast cancer(but looks like she is doing better from the site). She waited on us in the store when we visited and was super nice(the boy scored some really great vintage ties).
Yeah, it’s really sad! I never met her but she was there when Drew and I went on Saturday and seemed really nice. That store was always a highlight of visiting Nashville–so well done!
Celebrity spotting is always so much fun, we are quite lucky where we live – our best spot has been Helena Bonham Carter (several times). Fingers crossed Karen and Jack show their faces next time!
Helena Bonham Carter! England must be amazing for celebrity sighting. Here in Atlanta the only person I see is the guy from Deerhunter, and I’ve seen him so many times that I worry he thinks I’m a stalker.
Adore these photos Rhiannon
That lighting beautiful and you look so pretty in that last one!
! That was one of the stores Lauren told me to go to! It was so so cheap compared to a vintage store over here. I got one thing from there after being completely overwhelmed.
Your outfit is perfect too I love how you have done such lovely pairing with that sweater.
Nashville is so beautiful. I loved the Hip Zipper

Thanks Ayesha! Aww, I’m glad you went to the Hip Zipper! Yeah, I was overwhelmed too. There was so much stuff! I’d have to spend hours in there to really go through everything.
Love what you’re wearing Rhiannon, the plaid skirt is very pretty and looks warm!
Beautiful, wintry photos! Your trench coat is such a perfect thrift find – I love the shorter length!
Thanks Sarah! The coat was from the little boys department at the thrift store . . . the womens ones are always so long!
Oh noooo, that is sad about Venus and Mars! I visit every time I’m in Nashville. We need pretty places like that in our lives!
Karen, I know, it’s too bad! I only bought one thing there but it was always so nice to go and just browse around
Isn’t Nashville the best!?
( I did see Karen last time I was there though, and she’s as sweet as pie! Which I’m sure you already knew because of Lauren!
I’m so sad about Venus and Mars
The Hip Zipper is amazing, though I rarely find anything for myself there…
Sometime when you’re in Nashville we’ll have to meet. I think our guys would get along…both doing the same kind of work and all.
Hah, that might be the longest comment I’ve ever left you, LOL! ;o)
Quincy, we really should meet! Ooh I’m jealous of all your Karen Elson run-ins . . . And, yes, I’m so sad Venus and Mars is closing. It was always such a fun place to visit and so pretty.
What a cute casual outfit, you look very comfortable and warm. Perfect to go shop all day!
Hi there! I was just wondering what size your American Apparel top is. I’ve been meaning to get one but not sure if it runs big and I think we’re about the same size. And while I’m at it, how do you like your Karen Walker sunglasses? They look great on you. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Glad you like it! Actually the AA shirt did run a little big–I’m exchanging the medium for a small. And the Karen Walker sunglasses are great! I’d definitely recommend them . . . they’re the only sunglasses I ever wear these days.
Thanks so much!
I love these photos Rhiannon! THey’re so ethereal, and that outfit is just perfect. I’m kind of in love with the skirt and shoes
Thanks Megan! I think the skirt is an old Limited one from the ’90s
Love the way you make a sweatshirt look classy.
Thanks everyone!
I love the photo of you stepping down the steps! Such a pretty outfit with equally pretty lighting!

No better place than Peabody campus to take pics!
