Tennessee

I love Tennessee so much I want to move there sometimes.  It’s pretty and it’s fun and there are always a hundred things to do, and whenever I go visit my parents and my mom asks what I’d like to see I get overwhelmed and don’t have an answer.  That’s ok.  We did go somewhere fun Saturday (I’ll show you those pictures soon), but mostly we rested and ate wonderful food, including my dad’s famous chocolate chip cookies, my mom’s famous cinnamon rolls, salmon dinner, and homemade scones and clotted cream for breakfast.  Also I ate so much chocolate that I got a stomach ache, but that’s the norm for me when it comes to Tennessee visits.

Other things I did: chopped some of my hair off on Friday afternoon (I got bored), talked wedding plans a tiny bit (I’m not a fancy wedding person and would hit up the courthouse if I could, but we’re thinking of a July ceremony so have to get planning), saw Lauren and Neil, finished my book, ran on the treadmill, obsessively checked Vogue.co.uk for London shows (Charles Anastase!), teased Rufus, and joked around a lot with my family.

I love TN, but sometimes I wish I lived in one of those “always summer” states instead.

You look gorgeous, by the way. Glad you had such a great time.

Your hair looks lovely, really like it this length! Great outfit, the toughness of the denim works so well with the lace. x

I love how weekend comfy this outfit looks. Perfect! Also loving your bag; I’ve been on the hunt for something similar at thrift stores here, but can only seem to find neon-hued or too-worn ones. :p Augh!

I could totally relate to your “courthouse wedding” comment. ;) As much fun as our wedding was at the end, I really am not a huge wedding gal, and would have been just as happy with a small courthouse wedding and then dinner at a nice restaurant with close family afterward. lol.

Im a CA girl who wants to move to TN more than anything else. There is so much to do there, but also a certain slow pacing to life there which makes me appreciate it even more.

    I love your blog content!
