The collections I’ve been most inspired by lately are the ones that wont be coming out for another year. Summers here drag on and on and on and on, so once all the year’s spring collections have been out for a while I start looking for the next year’s. Vivi Ponti of the adorable line Vivetta sent me pictures from both her upcoming fall and summer lines, and while I love the fall one I can’t help but be more drawn to the summer campaign at the moment. It’s bright and cheerful and makes me think of all the summer trips I want to go on as soon as my arm gets better. It reminds me of 1950s teen fashion with all of its gingham and pastels and high waist bathing suits, and the photos are so good and happy and not at all serious.
