It was another busy weekend, but we managed to take pictures really quickly on our way to the farmer’s market.  Predictable, I know.  It was crazy around here these last few days (and weeks), but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now and am counting down the days until Friday when we can leave town for the weekend (fingers crossed).  Things are slowly getting back to normal, and I love it.  Yesterday we stocked up on food and made dinner here for the first time in way too long, and today I made muffins.  My doctor also told me that my elbow is almost completely healed, which is a huge relief.  I don’t know if you could tell (probably) but I spent the first half of the summer pathetic and depressed because of my broken elbow.  Feeling helpless is the worst, but now I can drive and do just about everything (my doctor cleared me for ‘light exercise,’ but I cleared myself for running a long time ago, and I swear it made my elbow work ten times better).

Silent Sundays should be back on track sooner than later, too. Tomorrow Jamie and I are going to Athens on a vintage hunt to get the last batch of things before we start shooting fall lookbooks.  I’m actually excited about clothes and putting together fall outfits, though I can’t lie and say that I’m not still into summer things. I wore this dress two out of the last three days and like it so much that I painted my nails the same color.  And next weekend I’m hoping we’ll get the chance to photograph some of my very favorite summer things–I’ve been saving them up for a good enough location, and the place we’re going to (Tennessee? . . . Becky? ) should be perfect.

oh, that dress is too perfect! and i’m glad that things are looking up for you. i broke my foot a couple of years ago and can totally understand feeling helpless. here’s to having your elbow almost completely healed! xo

    • Rhiannon says:

Thanks, Odessa! See, I think it would have been much worse to break a foot or leg and to not be able to walk. That must have been awful. Mine wasn’t so bad–mostly it was just recovering from surgery that was awful, feeling sick all the time and only wanting to sleep . .

Athens! I live there! I never find any good vintage stuff out here though. There’s one place downtown with some vintage stuff, but it’s really pricey. College town thrift stores are so picked through all the time. I like to thrift back home in Snellville where people don’t care about clothes so there’s always something fun to find!

    • Rhiannon says:

Snellville, really? I never would have thought! I know what you mean–the thrift stores in Athens aren’t that great and I have better luck at the ones here in Atlanta, but the vintage stores in Athens are so good. Much cheaper than the ones here. I used to live in Athens a few years ago and loved it!

  3. I’m trying to get myself into a running routine, I like to use you and other people who actually enjoy it to motivate me!
Your summer sounds busy and enjoyable, with the exception of the elbow incident. Hope you get your weekend break, finally!

    • Rhiannon says:

Leah, you’ll love running! So I’m not the best motivator because I’m not great at it (obviously, since I broke my elbow doing it) and I only run 2 or 3 miles at a time, but it’s such a good way of getting rid of stress. I don’t run races or anything–I pretty much just run to stay sane, and because it’s the only athletic thing I can do halfway decently.

  4. What a lovely outfit and so beautiful photos!

Oooh, are you in Athens? I love Agora and Minx, and there’s a new place (well new-ish) called Community that’s perfect. I got a silk blouse there.

And Drew’s camera is a Canon 5D MarkII, I think? He uses it a lot for filming things for work, and it couldn’t be better.

  13. Molly says:

Yay Athens – my town! Make sure to go see Airee at Agora downtown… one of my favorites. And Ooh Boy on Broad St. has some cool stuff too, though it’s a small shop. Enjoy your visit and glad to hear you are almost healed!

    • Rhiannon says:

Aww, I didn’t make it to Ooh Boy. I stepped into Agora really quick–didn’t get to talk to Airee this time, but you’re right, she’s the best. Have you been to Community? Jamie told me about it and we went there and it’s my new favorite.

  14. Lovely dress :)

I’m glad your elbow is fully healed!

  19. You look just darling in your summer dress. I hope you had a lovely time at the farmer’s market. Such a sweet look!

    • Rhiannon says:

Thanks Annalise! Ha ha, I need to do a post on the farmer’s market one day. It’s not one of those outdoor, pleasant ones. It’s in a huge warehouse, and it’s the most crowded place I’ve been to maybe, and it’s not fun to go to, but it’s amazing anyway. Lots of international stuff, good fruits and vegetables, and most of it really cheap.

  20. That is such a pretty dress. Beautiful photos :)

  21. Ilana says:

can’t wait to see the new stuff at your shop! everything there is so lovely I just need to lose a few pounds to fit into smaller clothes again!
You look so adorable in that dress lovely colour.

    • Rhiannon says:

Thanks Illana! We’ve been doing so much shopping for it . . . can’t wait to swap out all the summer stuff for sweaters and velvet dresses.

  22. Rhiannon says:

You guys, thanks so much for all your comments, and for not making fun of my stupid cutesy poses (I was in a bad mood and trying to be funny, and it backfired).
