The big day is officially here, and I’ve already had a big weekend filled with parties and family visits. I’m sort of exhausted and can’t really write as much as I wanted to, so I’ll have to save recaps for later on, including details of the most amazing bachelorette party of all time, thrown by Jamie, who is the best pal ever. (hint: it involves a certain local Rupaul’s Drag Race celebrity) So with the wedding and honeymoon happening I probably won’t be doing any posts of my own, but I do have some good guest posts lined up next week, so be sure to check back.
I’ll post some photos from this weekend and our trip to California when we get back. For now here’s one of my big inspirations for my dress and the wedding in general . . . Are you surprised that it’s silent film-related? (no.)

While stalking the label 212′s facebook page for fall collection updates I came across these editorial photos from their last collection, and they were so pretty that they’ll have to stand in, both for fall collections and for photos of my own. The last few weeks have been absolutely crazy, which explains why it’s been so quiet around here. Last week was the big Silent Sundays fall shoot, and then on Sunday I styled another shoot. And this whole week has been kind of a rush, since we’re getting married this Sunday. It’s crazy how stressful weddings are–we are going the easy route with ours and there’s still a lot to do before the weekend, when family and friends come in and parties start up.
I’ll tell you about it soon enough. It is stressful right now, but when the day gets here I know it will be fun. We’re getting married out in the country, and it’s supposed to be sunny and 75, and Jamie’s taking photos that I’ll be sure to post here. Then we’re going to California for a Pacific coast drive honeymoon, and there may be another trip to Hearst Castle in the works . . .

We have a ton of new stuff and a brand new lookbook coming in next week to Silent Sundays, so to celebrate (and to make room) we’re offering 50% off of everything in the store. That’s designer and vintage, regular price and sale. Just enter the code OCTOBER at checkout.

I’m pretty sure I first heard about the Spanish brand Masscob a few years ago on Ringo, Have a Banana, and I remember falling in love with its romantic videos and white dress-filled collection. If that collection had exactly the sort of thing I like to wear in the summer, then their new fall one is filled with just what I want for fall, especially now that it’s cool and rainy and we’re planning a trip to a cooler place. Everything is so good and simple and sensible and perfect for fall trips–loafers for hiking, autumn leaf-colored sweaters for layering, and trench coats for rainy days like today.

There’s about to be a lot of new activity at Silent Sundays: this week we had two lovely and talented girls from Tennessee come into town to model for our fall lookbook. I can’t wait to write more about them and show off the clothes, which Jamie and I think are the best Silent Sundays clothes yet. Until then you can check out these gorgeous photos of Carrie of Wish Wish Wish in a TBA dress from Silent Sundays. We lucked out when she decided to take it with her on a trip to Portugal, and you can luck out by entering a little Silent Sundays voucher giveaway on her blog . . .
