Here are the final photos from the shoot I styled last month for Jamie when she, Rodney, and I went on our Birmingham trip. Jamie and I had been wanting to do an editorial with Bailey for a long time, and when we heard that she was back from a bunch of modeling jobs in Japan we scheduled a shoot and planned a trip to her little Alabama hometown. It couldn’t have been more perfect for the look we had in mind—plenty of country roads, kudzu, even a quiet little pond complete with dock and boats (that we ended up being too scared to use). And Bailey was sweet and funny and one of the best models we’ve worked with for sure.
I’m not going to say anything more, because I wrote about our shoot for my column this month on Oxford American’s site, and I’d just be repeating myself over and over again. So head on over to the OA if you’d like to read some more about the shoot and the clothes and the southern lit inspiration behind it . . .
