Lauren’s latest collection for Blooming Leopold is my favorite of hers yet. When she first told me she would be marble dying silk I really got into the idea, and when she instagrammed a piece in progress I started scheming on how to get one of my own. Her stuff is really, really beautiful. Marble dyed dresses and crop tops made of silk, a dream velvet drop waist dress . . . She also dyed a few vintage silk pieces, including those tie dyed trousers and the dip dyed blouse. (There was also a marble-dyed silk blouse in tan, but you won’t be able to find it in Lauren’s shop since it found its way into my closet instead . . . )
Drew and I got the chance to collaborate with Lauren on this lookbook. Drew took photos (and location scouted) and I did the styling, which wasn’t hard at all considering how good the clothes were. The model was pretty great too. Ashley’s a pro: she’s done a lot of shoots, so she didn’t seem phased at all posing in funny parts of Nashville or going coat-less on the first really cold day of the season. By the end of the day we were all getting cold, so we ended our shoot at Barista Parlor, getting hot coffees and taking advantage of their backdrop-perfect outside walls for some final shots.
You can find the rest of the lookbook photos on Lauren’s blog . . .

Ahh! I was so excited when I saw Lauren’s lookbook come out on her blog, and I’m happy all over again seeing it here. I moved to Nashville over the summer, so it’s neat hearing about your trips here and seeing photos from places I recognize! Her pieces are so beautiful, and the styling and photography complement them perfectly.
