It’s hard to believe that it’s been exactly a year since Drew and I were driving out to Serenbe to get married. We were both nervous wrecks–somehow we remembered to pick up the donuts for our “cake”–but of course I ended up forgetting my phone and probably a lot of other little things. I was too nervous to eat, and my hands shook when I put on my dress and did my hair. And before the ceremony, as I was standing in back with my Dad waiting for our cue to walk out, I was sure I was going to faint. But I didn’t faint. My nerves went away as soon as I stood up in front with Drew, and from then on I was just happy. It was the best day of my life. I saw my favorite people (and favorite living animal), ate chocolate bourbon pecan pie and candy corn, and got married to the best person I know.
