Harvest Moon

I’m excited that the Canadian store Aritzia just launched its e-commerce site, if only so I can fantasy shop and stalk their silk blouses and dream dresses until they go on final sale.  When we went to Aritzia in New York I was so overwhelmed that I didn’t even try on anything. Just about everything was good and I couldn’t focus.

I sort of felt the same way when I looked at the online magazine on Aritzia’s revamped site.  The brand always hires such good photographers for their shoots (still can’t get over this beautiful one from Jody Rogac), so I can’t wait to see what kinds of editorials are in store.  So far, they’re perfect.  A tiny Justin Hollar shoot, and then this one, shot by David Bellemere, whose work I love when his models have clothes on (usually they don’t).  In Harvest Moon, the model is bundled up in layers of sweaters and coats and capes, and is serving up modern day Wuthering Heights lonely moor wandering realness.  Or at least that’s what it looks like to me.
